Q. How do I install Serials 2000?
Ans. After you have downloaded the file from the site, go to the directory where you saved the file and double click on the file Serials2k.zip. Winzip will open showing the contents of the file. Double click on ser2k70b.exe from within Winzip to install the program and follow the instructions on the screen.

Q. How do I update Serials 2000?
Ans. After you have downloaded the update file, go to the directory where you saved the file and double click on it. Winzip will open showing the contents of the file. Click on the extract button and specify any temporary directory to extract the file. Run Serials 2000 program and click on File > Update Database. Navigate to the temporary folder where you extracted the files. Select the file with the .seu extension. Then hit OK and watch the update happen. Once finished you will see the a result's window with statistics. You will then be asked if you want to remove the update file. If you don't need them anymore, then delete them. But you may want to keep them if you ever delete Serials 2000 or install it on another machine and need to update quickly.

Q. How do I search for Serial numbers quickly?
Ans. Click on Edit > Find. Type in the name of the program and you the list of programs matching your criteria.

Here is a list of known issues about Serials 2000.

Some serials by DSi have the name spelled incorrectly. The program we use to catalogue the serials sometimes switches 'DSi' to 'Dsi'. Notice the 'S' is a capital in the first one. If you are using a DSi serial and the name doesn't work, try making the 'S' uppercase.


Serials in the main database that contain a comma (,) will have quotes around the info that contains a comma. We will try to get rid of all these, but some may slip by. We try to avoid comma's at all cost, but sometimes they slip through.
